you're a dumbass. sum 41 is a talented, excellent band. i'm sick of people thinking of them as 'those 'fat lip' blink-182 rip-offs.' if you actually listened to 'does this look infected?' or 'chuck', you'd tell that sum 41 are a heavy, agressive punk band with incredible talent. it's hilarious that you'd classify them as a similar band to bowling for soup. also, if you're okay with all american retards, but think sum 41 are poppy, you're the one who needs help.

I do think Pearl Jam is overrated, they are given way too much credit. They have a couple of really good songs, but they are not one of the best bands of all time. With respect to the influential list, that list is not as subjective as the other lists, which are based a lot on my own taste. The Influential songs list is much more objective and fact based. That will explain the contradiction.

This list reminds me of "high school punk poser" kids list of pop punk songs. You do have some good bands listed, but not their best songs. "the sweetness" by JEW is much better than pain. The green day album "dookie" is much better than any of their newer stuff.

I would say screeching weezel are pop punk, very melodic, (cool kids etc..) I did see bad religion in this list I think they are border line as some of their songs have a harder edge.

well im not really sure who gave you your definition of punk but almost all of these songs are far from punk you can't have a greatest punk song list with out the sex pistols, the ramones, the dead kennedys, or social distortion, if you're going to make a greatest songs list at least know the genre

When you decide to create a list of PUNK bands. Most of the bands you listed aren't punk at all. They are nothing but the pop punk bullshit that came out after the end of real punk. I wouldn't go as far to say that list is shit but there are quite a few flaws. For example, Green Day should be number one because weather you love or loathe them they pretty much made the fucking pop/punk genre as we know it today! Most of the bands deserve to be in it but IMO you have the songs the wrong way around asuming you base the list on popularity .

i read a good 90% of the comments here and you all seem to be up in arms about this guys list and it not being "punk enough" I went to shows from 95-2001 and listened to blink and jew and all that stuff while rocking cro-mags, af, dk, and black flag at the same time...read the the title of the list TOP 75 POP-PUNK. The man is naming top POP punk songs...rock czar i pretty much gotta agree with you on just about all..i woulda crapped myself in amazement if i saw someone like Alligator Gun on here...woulda liked to of seen some Pulley or Ten Foot Pole too (if i didnt miss them on there).

all around good job though and to tha haters...read the mans title before you start going off on a rant about some band that you started listening to 15-20 years after they broke up.
